Irish Dance Music

Tir Na Nogs Need: Slow Reels (Speed 80) and Medium Reels (Speed 90), Slow Jigs (Speed 50 and/or 60) and Medium Jigs (Speed 73). During Phase 3 of TNN material, dancers might be ready to start trying full speed Reels (113) and Light Jigs (115-121).

Beginners
Need: Reels (Speed 118 and/or 113), Light Jigs (Speed 115-121), Slip Jigs (Speed 118 and/or 113)

Advanced Beginners Need: Reels (113), Light Jigs (115), Slip Jigs (113), Traditional Treble Jigs (92), Traditional Hornpipes (138-144)

Novice - Champ Dancers Need: Reels (113), Slip Jigs (113), Treble Jigs (73), Hornpipes (Traditional/"Fast" 138, AND 113 Non-Traditional "Slow")

Traditional Set Dancers Need (Note, your teacher will pick ONE set for you from this list): St Patrick's Day (94 - Hooley Novice), Jockey to the Fair (90 - Hooley Adults), Three Sea Captains (96 - Hooley Prizewinners), Blackbird (144), Garden of Daisies (138), King of the Fairies (130), Job of Journeywork (138),

Championship Non-Traditional/Contemporary Set Dancers Need: Planxty-Hugh O'Donnell (70), The Orange Rouge (70), The Lodge Road, The Piper

Has all dances at extra slow speeds, wonderful for using when you are initially learning your dances and aren't ready for full speed yet. Reels (speeds 80, 90, 113), Jigs (speeds 50, 60, 73, 81, 120), Slip Jigs (speeds 90 and 113), and Hornpipes (speeds 80, 90, and 113). See notes at top of page for what your full speed should be, and purchase slower songs accordingly for initial learning.
