Background

Faith started as a Beginner dancer at Hooley and enjoyed competing for a decade before retiring to focus on teaching. As a competitive Irish dancer, Faith danced at many Regional Championships. She performed, along with a team, her own original drama at the 2017 National Championships and was on an 8-Hand team in the 2013 World Championship. She has years of experience in childcare and enjoys studying the newest childhood development resources to bring the best teaching styles to her dancers. She particularly loves being able to create an environment where the youngest children at Hooley can learn technique and fall in love with dance. 


Education/Certifications 

Became certified TCRG in 2022 

Graduate from Millersville University in December of 2022 with a BA Degree in Entertainment Technology and a minor in Athletic Coaching


Achievements: 

Won 1st place in Traditional Set at the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships 

Hooley’s first Beginner competitor in 2009

First Hooley dancer to complete in all 12 Grade Exams (tests to become a TCRG)

Choreographed many showcase dances-directed the 2019 & 2021 showcases

Directed the 2022 Showcase, Peace-Love-Irish Dance

Developed Hooley’s Tiny Toes classes by creating curriculum and training the teachers


Activities

Faith is a lifetime Girl Scout. She earned the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award and now is an adult volunteer with the local council. She loves working with children and volunteers with her church in the Children's Disability Ministry. 


Goals

Faith hopes to use her difficult life experiences, living with a complex medical condition, to teach dancers how to have grit and face all life’s challenges with a tenacious spirit.
