Background
Gretchen Weidler began dancing in 2001 under Crystal Glick-Carper’s instruction. She spent eight years dancing non-competitively until Carper became certified through CLRG in 2009. That year, Gretchen was among the first students to compete under Crystal’s newly certified school - the Hooley School of Irish Dance. The following year, she became the first Hooley student to reach the top level of Irish dance, Open Championships. She went on to compete as both a solo and team dancer at the regional, national, and world championships. After graduating from Warwick High School in 2015, Gretchen retired from competitive dancing. She is currently employed at Lancaster General Hospital as a registered nurse and pursuing her bachelor's degree. Gretchen married her husband, Logan, in September 2019. Education/Certifications
In 2017 Gretchen became certified through An Comisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG).
She passed the TCRG exam In December 2018.
Gretchen graduated from Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences with an associate’s degree in nursing.
Achievements
Gretchen is the first girl from Hooley to place in the top 10 in the region.
Activities
Gretchen loves getting to know her dancers and choreographing new material.
She enjoys traveling, the outdoors, being involved in her church, and spending time with her husband.
